Our dream project was conceived following ecological guidelines and bioclimatic standards, among them are conscious land use, water efficiency and energy efficiency.

We take advantage of available resources (sun, vegetation, rain and wind) to reduce environmental impacts, energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

To transform our house into an Ecological Accommodation we had to make decisions about sustainable equipment, materials and refurbishment techniques.  All our choices are in every detail of the house and are often imperceptible. However, we know they are there.  They are in the soul of the house. That is why we named it Eco Soul.

Some facts:

The orientation of the building allowed us to adopt bioclimatic and achieve energy efficiency. We have integrated a passive ventilation system and electric blinds for the temperature control of the house. With this, we minimize the use of non-essential electronic devices such as air conditioning. We have opted for natural and renewable energies such as the biomass energy boiler for heating bath water and radiators.

80% of the land is green areas that are treated by hand and without chemicals. Among them are our ecological mini-horta and a place with aromatic herbs.  Natural and renewable materials have been used for the refurbishment of the building, which do not require the use of chemicals in their maintenance, as is the case of micro cement in bathrooms.  We restore and reuse furniture and wooden pieces, which we integrate into the decoration of the space.

We have implemented a project for the use of rainwater for garden and vegetable garden irrigation and created an outdoor rainwater shower.

The other actions that we incorporated with the beginning of our activity as Local Accommodation were the ethical and ecological commerce, the reduction of food waste, the treatment of waste and the awareness actions.

In short, the whole project was planned, conceived and continues to develop based on a mission and values that we are committed to transmit day by day to our guests, employees and suppliers.
